In an attempt to catch up on our recent weddings, I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Frankie + Adriana were married at their church and held the reception at the Tampa Garden Club. This couple had the most amazing chemistry! They could hardly stop smiling, even for a kiss. 🙂 Their families were so welcoming. We were so excited to hear the excitement they held for their future plans… an incredible honeymoon, new home and introducing each other as ‘my husband’ or ‘my wife’. <3 Cheers!
This was a wet engagement session. It stopped raining long enough for just a few photos. Luckily we had plenty of covered beautiful spots picked out. They requested a personalized save-the-date sign, which we made featuring their wedding colors purple and gold. Not only was it used in the engagement photos, but they have plans to use it as a decoration at the wedding and then in their home. <3 We spoke about their international travels and how they chose their wedding venue. They were funny, down to Earth and genuinely appreciated each other. As a last shot, this couple wanted to venture out into the rain at the Tampa sign. I loved how atmospheric it turned out. <3 Cheers, we can’t wait for your wedding day!
This engagement session lasted longer than needed because I could not stop talking to this couple! I loved hearing about how they came from different states and how the universe conspired to have them meet and fall in love. The engagement story was amazing! John really worked some magic there. John had a few special shells that he sealed with clay. Inside one of them was a ring. While diving, John pointed an empty shell out to Jana. Curious, Jana noticed the other shell. She picked it up and looked inside to see a beautiful ring…. a ring meant for her. <3 Pretty impressive huh. They were so good at making each other laugh. They wanted a few more casual photos, since dressing up isn’t normally their style. I’m so glad they asked because their personalities really shined during this part of the session. They were playful and adventurous. It is easy to see they have found their other halves. I can’t wait for more fun together on the wedding day! Cheers!
This venue was thrilling, emotional and beautiful. Big Cat Rescue in Tampa is a sanctuary for big cats. Some have been surrendered, others rescued. Here they can live out their lives safe from abuse and hunters. I set to work photographing the ceremony site and details and forgot this was a venue any different from all the others, until my core vibrated from the roar of a lion. Wow, that is different. I had a constant audience of tigers, bobcats and lynx. This couple chose this venue because the venue fee went to helping these animals… and it was cool. The wedding contained hues of blue and teal and had a rustic feel. Many details were themed around the cats like the bridesmaids’ make-up bags and cake topper. The bride wore a blue tinted dress – it was gorgeous and really accented the lace. Our photo session got rained out, but we snagged a few atmospheric photos before the monsoon started. It honestly rained the rest of the day. How lucky the ceremony was dry! The reception was full of incredible dancing – they are both professionals! It was beautiful to the chemistry and bliss.<3 Cheers!
Mario + Maggie met at the University of Tampa and decided to host their wedding reception at the beautiful and historic Fletcher Hall. Maggie and her three sisters spent the morning having hair and make-up done at UT, still a special place for Maggie as she works there now. 🙂 The bride and groom exchanged letters and gifts before the ceremony and chose not to see each other. It was so sweet to witness the bride get emotional at the groom’s promises for a happy future together. One of the gifts was an ‘Our First Christmas’ ornament! As most everyone knows, I am a HUGE Christmas fan. I love the lights, cool weather (we live in Florida remember), Christmas trees and Christmas music. This was instantly one thing the bride and I had in common. <3 The groom and groomsmen rushed to get ready and get to the church on time. But the groom had a few moments to ready a letter from the bride. The cover read, “Today I have loved you for 1,428 days.” <3 The groom gifted the groomsmen custom map flasks and fun socks. The ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The father of bride was stunned when he saw her ready to walk down the aisle. They smiled the whole way down to the groom. The walk was beyond beautiful. The full mass ceremony was inspiring and gorgeous. It was a pleasure to just observe these two smile and laugh with each other. The chemistry was unbelievable! The reception back at the University of Tampa was full of energy and the historical architecture was a feast for the eyes. The bride and groom treated the guests to a choreographed first dance that had everyone cheering. The night was full of dancing thanks to Grant Hemond and Assoc.
John + Tia were one of the most welcoming and warm couples we have ever met. We were treated like family and loved witnessing a true Greek reception. The ceremony was held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Lakeland. The ceremony was beautiful with the wine, crowns, rings and ceremonial walk. We could see the excitement grow with each ceremonial binding. By the end of the ceremony, they couldn’t stop smiling! We had only a few minutes for photos at Hollis Gardens before heading to the reception. The reception was beautiful and fun. The laughing filled the ballroom. When guests weren’t in the photo booth, they were dancing, dancing, dancing! <3 Cheers!
This Sanibel Island destination wedding at the Sundial Resort wowed me on many levels. The stationary was amazing! I loved the invitation package, but the wedding weekend itinerary was so cute. It had a schedule of fun events planned, a great way to ensure your guests know about the area and fun activities available to them. 🙂 The bride’s room was decorated like a cute beach cottage and the flowers were beautiful! The bride was lucky to have her sister to help her throughout the day. The groom and groomsmen relaxed until it was time for the first look. We did the first look in a grassy area surrounded by pink hibiscus. The groom was stunned by the beautiful bride ad dress. The bride loved the groom’s linen suit. <3 We were able to do some photos of the bridal party before the ceremony. This was very fortunate since it started storming after the ceremony. The guests were greeted with a beautiful area to change shoes, get drinks and cute fans with the couple’s dog on them. The bride was stunning as she rounded the corner down to the beach. The guests gasped as they saw her through the sea oats. <3 The couple read their own vows and the ceremony was officiated by her uncle. It was beautiful. The wind started blowing as a storm started rolling in from the gulf. The ceremony ended in dramatic fashion with a passionate kiss. Cheers to many more kisses on the beach.
This couple had a brightly colored wedding at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club. We had the typical Tampa thunderstorm pop up in the early afternoon, but luckily it passed before the ceremony out on the terrace. Rain on the wedding day is good luck. <3 The bride looked like a princess with her high bun and sparkly headband. The dress was equally stunning and the shoes were equally sparkly! She even thought ahead to bring a matching pair of flats for all the dancing ahead. 🙂 The ceremony was full of happy tears. The reception had touching and emotional parent dances. The reception rocked on into the night with glow sticks and photo booth fun. The couple was sent off at the end of the night with bubbles! Cheers!
Kwame and Mary planned a destination wedding on the Starlite Majesty out of Clearwater Beach. They went with rustic decor with pops of green and yellow. They made the fan programs themselves! I loved the wording on them – so cute. <3 The cake topper birds were adorable! How cute will those look on a shelf in their home together?! I always love when items from your wedding day can be displayed in the home. The brooch bouquet was amazing! It sparkled and shinned and complimented the detailing on the wedding dress perfectly! Another favorite item was the ring box. These are great for ring photos of course, but also for a nervous Best Man… less risk of ring dropping. 🙂 This couple opted for a quick first look. Kwame was stunned by how beautiful is bride-to-be looked. And Mary loved how his boutonniere looked with the vest. The excitement only built from that moment. The bride and groom wrote their own vows and were pronounced husband and wife by Captain Mike. The evening was full of dancing, singing and lots of celebration! Cheers!
Josh and Megan were a dream to work with. They were referred to us – always the biggest compliment we can receive! They planned a beautiful summer wedding at the Holiday Inn Harbourside in Indian Rocks Beach. The bride was surrounded by her amazing team of bridesmaids. The room was full of excitement and giggles. The dress was a stunning one shoulder, full length gown with lace and beading details. The groom and groomsmen (and groomswoman) were laid back and enjoyed a celebratory beer before the ceremony. The ceremony was out on the boardwalk overlooking the water. The ceremony was full of laughs, true to this couple. I was struck by the way Josh looked at Megan all day. It was like he couldn’t take his eyes off her! The reception was full of sweet speeches and animated dancing. The highlight was the cake fight! A couple that laughs together, stays together. 🙂 Cheers!
